We selected the Wagnesday Regular (from FontSpace) font for our movie title "Rogueher". This will contribute to the overall feel of a spy movie since this is an elegant, very sharp, and controlled typeface. Clean yet dramatic fonts are commonly used in spy movies to give viewers a sense of intrigue and serious-mindedness. The dramatic feel of Wagnesday Regular creates a feel of confidence and calculation on behalf of the female lead, or Femme Fatale, which is consistent with her spy character.
Relation To Spy Film Openings:
The many title sequences in spy movies generally create a sense of suspense through either the use of a slow fade-in for the title sequence, or a fast cut to the title. Many of the spy movies we have studied as a class (such as the James Bond movies) create a title sequence with a fade-in that feels mysterious and suspenseful; others (like the Mission: Impossible movie) create a title sequence with an instant reveal that feels exciting and energetic.
We are currently undecided about how the title Rogueher will be presented in our movie. We are also still discussing the color palette. The color palette will depend upon what we ultimately decide to do with regard to the overall production look. It could be dark to fit the thriller atmosphere and keep the spy theme.
